I have always been interested in working with children and after having my own (the first in 1998 and the second in 2004) I became a Childminder. Whilst my second child was attending Over the Rainbow, a position became available for a Playschool Assistant, which I was really interested in. Having already gained my Level 3 NVQ in Childcare, I was qualified to join the team and so my Over the Rainbow journey began.
In 2009 I bought the playschool and built my own team and my dreams of being able to help and develop children became true. I love seeing the change in the children and seeing them conquer things they have not been able to do previously.
Running a business is not easy, but with an excellent Deputy Manager and a very supportive family, I have been able to build my playschool to what it is today.
It is the greatest feeling when a child arrives and leaves with a huge smile each day!
